Where Our Tea Begins
Menghai County · Yunnan Province
Private Ancient Tree Garden

He Kai Mountain lies within the ancient tea regions of Menghai.
Misty mornings, layered forests, and mineral-rich soil
shape the character of our leaves.
Our garden contains 1,065 ancient trees,
averaging nearly four centuries in age.
Their roots run deeper than market narratives.
Many “ancient tree” teas are purchased seasonally.
Ours are not.
We maintain long-term stewardship
over our own tea garden.
This ensures:
• Stable harvest quality
• Clear traceability
• Controlled picking standards
• Respect for ecological balance
Tea begins in the soil,
not in packaging.
Early spring harvest.
Manual selection.
Minimal intervention processing.
Leaves are pan-fired, rolled, sun-dried,
and later stone-pressed when appropriate.
We do not reshape the mountain’s voice.
We preserve it.

Ancient trees teach patience.
Some teas are meant for quick consumption.
Others are meant to accompany decades.
He Kai Mountain teas belong to the latter.
